Worship is the spring out of which the riches of God`s grace flows. It is the springboard from which Christian service bounds. Vital worship is at the very center of Mocks` congregational life. We provide nursery care, and a children`s story or children`s church at the 11 am service. We strive to make Mocks UMC a place where members and guests bring their families to worship got together each week.

The next Gather Together service is the first Sunday of every month. Come join us and sing praises with the band.

Let`s Talk About Methodism
• How did Methodist churches ever get started?
• Why do we do some of the strange things we do, l ike appointing/moving ministers and paying apportionments?
• Who is John Wesley?
These questions and much, much more will be discussed when the United Sunday School Class hosts Pastor Bob on the second Sunday of each month during the Sunday School hour in the Sanctuary. Everyone is invited to attend and hear the fascinating story of “the people called Methodists.”
If you would like Pastor Bob to come to your Sunday School class to talk about Methodism or other topics of Christianity, please speak to him or call the Church Office (998‑5518).

A Time to Pray
Join us on the first and third Wednesdays of every month at noon in the Sanctuary for a time of peaceful prayer and contemplation. We will pray for the concerns of our church, community, and world, and spend time listening for God to speak to us. Consider it a mid-week, mid-day time to pay attention to God and to our spiritual lives. This month we will be making plans for a Day Apart at Well of Mercy Retreat Center in Harmony NC. Anyone is welcome to come along. Speak to Pastor Bob.
